Linedata Services seek to provide best-of-breed solutions. To do so, we focus our strategy on strengthen our technological and functional edge by seeking new acquisitions to further consolidate our position within the financial IT business.

The best example is the excellent performance of our solutions Beauchamp and MShare/MPartner within the Group:

  • Substantial reinforcement of our Hedge Funds offering :
    Founded in 1997, Beauchamp Financial Technology has an excellent reputation in the hedge fund market for its software range, especially for the performance of its middle and back-office solutions, FundManager and PositionManager.
    Beauchamp has grown very fast since its inception and is now viewed as a leading-edge IT player in the hedge fund sector. With 130 employees in 3 continents, Beauchamp works with over 200 clients in Europe, North America and Asia on a daily basis.
    Linedata Services is reinforcing its offering to a fast growing market thanks to the complementary between Beauchamp, the middle and back-office solution, and LongView Trading, which is already distributed to hedge funds under an ASP model partnership with a very large international broker.                                                               Click here to view our quick demo series of Beauchamp.
  • Complete Back-office System in the United-States and Eastern Europe:
    Founded in 1992, Global Investment Systems (GIS) has developed a comprehensive offering for mutual fund managers and administrators through its back-office product MFact and its complementary solutions, MShare and MPartner. With over 80 employees in New Jersey and Ireland, GIS enjoys a customer base of over 120 financial institutions with a particularly strong presence in the United States, offshore countries, and Eastern Europe.
    This merger completes the existing range of back-office solutions, which includes the Icon and Chorus products, and reinforces the group’s international position.

  • Complementary functionality and greater cross selling:
    Linedata Services now has a comprehensive front-to-back offering capable of meeting the needs of all market segments. The new structure has all the necessary strengths to benefit from its strong growth potential in the Asset Management field.These acquisitions also pave the way for tremendous cross-selling opportunities, with the front-office LongView Trading solution being chosen by an ever-growing number of investment companies.


Winning the battle of liquidity and connectivity

In an increasingly competitive market, and with the major influence of liquidity on the overall cost of transactions, the development and deployment of best execution strategies is a major challenge for the buy-side industry. Order Management Systems (OMS), which provide optimised access to all sources of liquidity available on the market, are becoming the central point for industry developments.

Linedata Services has successfully anticipated this shift and has developed a range of innovative services around its OMS solution, LongView Trading, in partnership with leading sell-side players:

  • Liquidity Alliance Program :
    this program, initiated in 2004,  met a real success in 2007. It allows direct access from the LongView Trading desk to the principal electronic stock exchanges and bestof- breed sell-side algorithmic trading tools. As a result, the LongView Trading user can benefit from a much larger pool of liquidities, more efficient trading functionalities and a reduced error rate.
  • LongView LyNX :
    One of the most important success for the group since its launch in 2005 is this initiative. It enables LongView Trading users to benefit from connectivity to the sell-side via the FIX format. Network infrastructures and software maintenance are managed by a single point of contact, Linedata Services, enabling negotiations between sell-side and buy-side communities to be optimised by overcoming IT constraints.  

Innovation at the heart of our offering

  • A unique ASP strategy within the industry:
    Being able to refocus on core business, having access to pooled functional and technical expertise, benefiting from the best solutions at a reasonable cost – ASP is becoming more and more widely used as it meets the needs of all buy-side users, whatever their size and positioning.
    Backed by over 20 years of expertise in managing the software operations on behalf of clients, Linedata Services is innovative in offering the first front-office solutions in the market available on an ASP basis. As a result, Linedata Services is currently the only IT player to offer this deployment method for its entire range of front, middle and back-office solutions, globally.
    All asset managers, including those with small IT teams, can now benefit from LongView Trading and Linedata Compliance solutions in an ASP model. In 2006, 7 clients have already choose LongView Trading ASP, which demonstrate the success of this offer.
  • Complementary partnerships with market leaders:
    Linedata Services is also backed by a dynamic network of partners, all leaders in their industry sectors, to increase the strength of its products and reinforce its leadership:
    • New segment: implementation of the partnership with UBS initiated in 2004, which allows hedge funds to benefit from the combination of UBS’ Prime Brokerage services with the functional depth of LongView Trading in an ASP model.
    • New partnership with Citigroup: Linedata Services signed the licensing of its Beauchamp Hedge Fund Solution to Citigroup’s Global Transaction Services and Prime Brokerage divisions. Branded as OpenPrimeSM, the new Citigroup operating platform developed specially for the hedge fund market, will be backed by Beauchamp’s full product suite as a hosted solution and offered to Hedge Fund managers.
    • Functional enrichment: creation of the first Fixed Income offering,linking LongView Trading ASP to Thomson Financial’s TradeWeb portal. This agreement provides buyside players an end-to-end investment management solution that encompasses portfolio modeling, real-time trading applications, trade processing, and portfolio accounting - all through a single point of access, and available in an ASP model.
    • Infrastructure: partnership with Savvis, a specialist supplier, to provide Linedata Services with the network infrastructure and technical services for the North American market. This agreement supplements the collaboration already in existence with Atos Origin in Europe.

  • Ambitious investments across the board:
    Linedata Services has developed an ambitious R&D strategy to meet the ever more sophisticated needs of its clients. This strategy encompasses the entire range of best-of-breed solutions.
    • Front and middle-office: integration of new functionalities in LongView Trading, principally for hedge funds, and an increase of over 50% in the compliance rules covered by Linedata Compliance.
    • Back-office: launch of a partnership program with the leading financial information providers, aimed at supplying our back-office solutions with their financial data. This program has enabled Europerformance data to be streamed to Chorus and data from Reuters, FT Interactive Data and Thomson Financial to Icon.
    • Regulatory: continuation of the close collaboration with the financial community to anticipate major changes in the industry (MiFID) and to continue to provide solutions meeting regulatory requirements as well as the specific needs of each client.
