PARIS, EDINBURGH May 30, 2013 – Linedata (NYSE Euronext: LIN), the global solutions provider dedicated to the investment management and credit industries, this week celebrates the 25th anniversary of the opening of its Edinburgh office. The celebration underlines Linedata’s core philosophy of offering global expertise and services alongside local specialists. It also serves as an example of the company’s long term commitment to serve our clients as a trusted technology partner.
Linedata’s Edinburgh office, which provides product and client support and expertise for Linedata Back Office, specifically for Linedata Icon, first opened 25 years ago when the then owners of the fund accounting and administration solution acquired their first Scottish clients. One of those earliest clients was independent investment management firm Baillie Gifford. Still a client, Baillie Gifford continues to be an active partner in the development direction and future-proofing of Linedata Icon. Brian Hunter, Information Assurance Manager at Baillie Gifford, explains: “The first-rate support we receive from Linedata both locally here in Scotland and globally, coupled with the close relationship between our two organizations means that today, Linedata Icon is still an excellent choice for Baillie Gifford. The system has evolved constantly during the years we have been using it, keeping ahead of technology and regulatory developments.”
The office has moved three times in the intervening quarter of a century, evolving to support Linedata’s growing number of clients in the Scottish financial community. It is now also a centre of expertise and support for Linedata Back Office fund accounting and administration clients from further afield as well.
Lesley Campbell, Linedata Icon and Icon ASP Support Manager, comments: “At Linedata we put a high premium on earning the trust of our clients, and strive to create long term partnerships which benefit both parties beyond the normal vendor/customer relationship. Building and maintaining a local presence, such as our Edinburgh office, is key to this model and we continue to invest in our products, our infrastructure and our people to deliver what our asset management clients need. We are delighted to have been servicing the Scottish financial market for 25 years, and look forward to many future years of partnership and service.”
