Role Overview

We are seeking an IT Financial Controller to manage financial planning, analysis, and accounting-related tasks for IT operations across multiple regions and business lines (BLs). This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with both central and regional IT and Finance teams. The position involves complex reconciliations, cost analysis, budgeting, and communication to ensure accuracy and transparency in IT financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Reconciliation Tasks

  • Perform quarterly reconciliation between IT modelization files (budget, forecast) and actual accounting data per BL/region.

  • Collect Trial Balance extractions from regional accounting teams and apply mapping/manual adjustments to align supplier-level data.

  • Investigate discrepancies between model files and actuals, providing detailed gap analysis.

  • Manage invoice allocation across BLs and regions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Handle HCL-related accounting tasks, including:

    • Investigating payment status for invoices across regions.

    • Reconciling invoices and credit notes for multiple entities.

    • Preparing monthly snapshots of invoices and payments despite system limitations.

FP&A and IT Cost Management

  • Prepare and update monthly IT forecasts using large datasets and Power BI (training can be provided if needed).

  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis for IT projects and incidents (e.g., cybersecurity events).

  • Analyze IT costs versus budget and previous forecasts; produce monthly review decks per BL/region.

  • Identify automation opportunities and refine allocation rules for improved efficiency.

  • Collaborate with central and regional IT teams to understand business needs and optimize costs.

  • Monitor AWS cost evolution, propose optimization measures, and coordinate with internal IT/R&D teams.

  • Support IT budgeting processes in collaboration with corporate and business IT teams; prepare budget decks and analysis.

  • Track and analyze costs related to HCL partnership; maintain accurate allocation and payment records.

  • Participate in contract negotiations and renewals (HCL, AWS, Microsoft, etc.), reviewing proposals and financial implications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.

  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with large datasets.

  • Experience with financial reconciliation and invoice allocation.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams.

  • Ability to manage time-consuming, detail-oriented tasks with accuracy.

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Skills

  • Power BI experience (or willingness to learn).

  • Knowledge of IT cost structures and cloud services (AWS preferred).

  • Experience in FP&A within IT or technology-driven environments.

Experience Level

  • 5+ years in Finance, Accounting, or FP&A roles, preferably with exposure to IT cost management.
