Inside Linedata - get to know the LInedata team. We caught up with Anthony Mayne who has recently moved to Linedata's Hong Kong office.
Anthony, what is your area of expertise at Linedata?
I started working with Linedata Derivation risk solutions over four years ago. In that time, I have worked in support, pre-sales, implementation, business analysis, and have completed the Certificate in Quantitative Finance. Since this January I have been focusing on on the integration of our QRMO clients with Linedata’s technology.
How did you end up on this assignment?
The integration involves looking at how Derivation’s risk solutions can help QRMO clients with their risk reporting. I have always particularly enjoyed the business analysis and quantitative aspects of my work, so when I was offered the opportunity to move from Oxford to Hong Kong to drive this project, I was glad to take it.
Why did Linedata decide to integrate its technology with QRMO’s servicing capabilities?
We believe this gives Linedata a unique position in the market by offering Linedata technology combined with trusted, expert servicing. From the software perspective, we have a team of professionals in-house using our software; we can leverage their knowledge for helping us improve what we develop for clients. On the other hand, the former QRMO solutions teams have access to our developers to help them respond to any queries and explore ways in which we could develop service offerings to address new client needs.
How many clients are involved?
There are 22 clients in scope, eight of whom subscribe to QRMO's Risk Reporting service and are therefore of special interest to me. They will all be fully integrated over the next few months.
What’s your favourite thing about being in HK?
The amount of exposure to all aspects of our business. Every day I'm interacting with the sales, support, and implementations teams, product managers, developers, and of course the QRMO team.
It’s also fantastic that it takes just half an hour on a ferry to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and get to a quiet island surrounded by trees. The peaks are fun to explore, and there are some magnificent views from the tops of them.
