About the Role

We are seeking a senior-level sales executive to lead Linedata Global Services' growth across Asia-Pacific, with a primary focus on Hong Kong and Japan. Linedata Global Services delivers outsourced front office, middle office and advisory solutions to hedge funds, asset managers and other buy-side firms. The right candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset, a detailed understanding of the fund services and technology landscape in the region, and an established network across the Hong Kong and Japanese buy-side community. You are an energetic, articulate and experienced professional who is great at building relationships and working within a team-selling environment, and you are comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy as the senior commercial presence in the region. You understand that selling in Japan is relationship-led, consensus-driven and built on trust earned over time, and you have the patience and discipline to run long, multi-stakeholder cycles to a close. Your clients like you because you’re thoughtful in your approach to their business – you listen first and then add value by offering solutions. Your track record speaks for itself and you’re ready to demonstrate it. You’re a creative problem solver, relentlessly focused on results, and you take pride in being trusted to deliver in challenging situations. You know how a hedge fund operates and you can speak credibly about the needs of the front and middle office with COOs, CFOs, heads of operations and CTOs.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

In this role you will own the APAC territory, with Hong Kong and Japan as your priority markets. Your success will be measured on new revenue – through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of our existing APAC relationships across the Linedata Global Services Front Office, Middle Office and Advisory business lines. You will have a direct impact on the profitability of the company through the strategic and tactical closure of the deals you bring to the table. Below is a brief description of the core responsibilities.

• Build and execute a territory plan for Hong Kong and Japan, covering hedge funds, asset managers, family offices and other buy-side firms, with a balanced pipeline of new-logo and expansion opportunities.

• Prospect and develop new relationships in the region through direct outreach, your personal network, industry events and conferences, prime broker and administrator introductions, and regional consultants.

• Lead the full sales cycle – organizing and running presentations, demos and pilots; mapping decision makers across the prospect organization; building senior-level relationships; clearly understanding business and technical requirements; and articulating the Linedata Global Services value proposition to position us to win.

• Work through objections, pricing, commercial terms and contract negotiations to close deals, in partnership with Legal, Finance and the Global Head of Sales.

• Grow and protect existing APAC client relationships – acting as a trusted commercial partner, identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities across business lines, and leading renewals.

• Act as the regional voice of the client – partnering with Client Services, Operations and Product to ensure a smooth handover and onboarding for new clients, and getting involved directly when matters are escalated.

• Develop relationships with industry consultants, prime brokers, fund administrators and complementary technology vendors in Hong Kong and Japan to generate referrals and co-selling opportunities.

• Provide regular, accurate pipeline and forecast reporting in the CRM, along with market and competitive intelligence from the region to inform Linedata's APAC strategy.

• Represent Linedata Global Services at regional industry events and contribute to APAC marketing, thought leadership and brand-building initiatives.

Requirements

• A proven track record (8–10+ years) and measured success in business development selling fund services, middle office outsourcing, or financial technology to buy-side firms in Asia-Pacific.

• Established network and demonstrable success selling into the Hong Kong and Japanese hedge fund and asset management communities.

• Deep understanding of Japanese business culture and buy-side decision-making, and the ability to navigate long, consensus-driven sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.

• Expertise in managing multi-stakeholder sales cycles and closing large, complex deals.

• Consistent track record of achieving / exceeding sales quota.

• Understanding of hedge fund operations, the trade lifecycle and the front- and middle-office technology landscape; familiarity with the regional regulatory environment (SFC, JFSA) is an advantage.

• Comfortable operating independently as the senior commercial representative in the region while collaborating closely with a global team across North America, Europe and India.

• Strong and articulate communicator – written and verbal – including the ability to present to senior executives.

• Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Highly self-motivated with effective time management discipline; strong ability to multi-task and manage priorities.

• Excellent problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills. Must have strong references.

• Willingness to travel regularly within the region (approximately 20–25%), primarily between Hong Kong and Tokyo.
