Reliving LDX London 2026
Asset management is entering a new phase of AI adoption, and the industry turned out in force to discuss it at LDX London 2026. At its new venue, One Moorgate Place, the event was packed with industry experts, clients and partners.
As expected, discussions around artificial intelligence dominated. But the conversation had evolved from last year. The focus has moved beyond proofs of concept and pilot projects towards a more fundamental question: how do asset managers redesign their operations, workflows, and infrastructure to make AI work at scale?
Linedata Exchange 2026 Highlight Reel
Catch a glimpse of the energy, ideas, and connections that made this year’s event special.
As AI capabilities become more widely available, firms are increasingly being forced to look beyond the technology itself. If execution becomes increasingly automated, competitive advantage will depend less on the ability to complete tasks efficiently and more on how firms redesign processes, organise their operations, and create value for clients.
It’s clear that enthusiasm for AI is high. But there is also widespread recognition that successful adoption depends on getting the basics right.
In this context, experienced professionals and human expertise will become even more valuable. Speakers described a future in which AI handles repetitive and administrative tasks while humans focus on oversight, judgment, and decision-making.
As firms adopt AI, operational complexity continues to grow. Many organisations are still managing fragmented workflows across multiple systems, teams and processes, making visibility, governance and scalability increasingly difficult.
In a dedicated session, speakers explored how Optima has evolved from a workflow and exception management tool into a broader orchestration platform designed to connect workflows, systems and operational controls across both Linedata and third-party environments.
Panelists explored how their firms are responding: evolving service models, rethinking client engagement, and investing in new capabilities to meet increasingly sophisticated expectations.
If there was one conclusion from LDX London 2026, it was that the industry is entering a new stage of AI adoption. Firms are grappling with how to redesign their organisations around the technology. They require modern operating models, strong governance, accessible data, and a workforce capable of combining human judgement with increasingly intelligent technologies.
A helping Hand: Our Charities
For the second year in a row, we redirected our LDX corporate giveaway budget to charity. Attendees received tokens to allocate to one of three nonprofits: The King's Trust - a youth support program, British Heart Foundation – a cardiovascular research charity, and Battersea – focused on animal welfare. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported these important causes!
