PARIS, LONDON, BOSTON, WARSAW, October 23, 2013 – Linedata (NYSE Euronext: LIN), the global solutions provider dedicated to the investment management and credit industries, today celebrated the first successful year of operations of Open Finance Towarzystwo Funduszy Inwestycyjnych SA (Open Finance TFI), a Polish investment fund and client of Linedata’s fund accounting platform, at Linedata Live Warsaw, Linedata’s annual event for Polish clients.
Open Finance TFI celebrates a phenomenal first year of operations at Linedata Live Warsaw. Having announced a ‘go live’ on Linedata’s best of breed fund accounting solution Linedata Mfact at last year’s Linedata Live Warsaw, the past twelve months have seen Open Finance TFI launch 15 funds, accumulate AUM of 2 billion Polish Złoty and achieve 1% of Polish market share. The funds cover a wide variety of instrument types and strategies and risk profiles. Linedata’s software and services played a critical part in Open Finance TFI’s success: new funds can be set up swiftly and efficiently in Linedata Mfact and it has the flexibility to address the different asset classes and fund types. Its ability to accurately evaluate Net Asset Value (NAV) has also been key. Piotr Habiera, Managing Director of Open Finance TFI, comments: “We have launched a wide variety of funds in tight timeframes. Linedata’s fund accounting platform and local expertise has proved to be an essential part of our business; it is easy to set up new funds in the system and to produce the necessary regulatory and investor reports. Linedata Mfact has grown with our business and has the capacity to continue to do so.” Open Finance TFI’s plans include setting up a further two funds on the Linedata platform before the end of this year.
With over 20 years of experience in the Polish market, Linedata serves a wide variety of institutions, including investment funds, pension funds, custodians, third party administrators and life assurance funds in Poland. Linedata’s fund accounting platform offers full instrument coverage, flexible data interfacing, automated task scheduling and NAV dashboard oversight capabilities to provide firms with the technology to work more efficiently.
“Supporting Open Finance TFI through its first year has been a privilege for Linedata,” commented Ciaran Whooley of Linedata. “Our understanding and experience of the Polish market as well as the scalability of Linedata’s back office platform has helped us to support Open Finance TFI through this period of rapid growth. The flexibilty and openness of Linedata Mfact in providing data to meet reporting and other requirements has proved key to automating and streamline operations, enabling Open Finance TFI to focus on their growth.”
