PARIS, BOSTON, NEW YORK, LONDON, HONG KONG, April 5, 2016 – Linedata (NYSE Euronext: LIN), the global solutions provider dedicated to the investment management and credit industries, today announced that it has been awarded Best Fund Administration Platform Technology in Global Custodian’s European Innovation Awards. This follows the firm’s recent recognition for Best Hedge Fund Administration in Global Custodian’s North America awards.
This award, one of Global Custodian’s prestigious Innovation Awards, was announced during the GC Leaders in Custody Dinner. The Innovation Awards are designed to acknowledge the firms that are bringing real innovation along the entire investment value chain, from prime brokers to asset managers, custodians and administrators. The award for Best Fund Administration Platform Technology recognizes the modular, agile approach that Linedata Fund Services has taken, with an open platform which enables easy integration of additional modules or third party solutions and an underlying architecture which enables much of the required set-up to be done in-house, avoiding lengthy and costly consultancy.
“At a time when the industry is facing multiple mandatory challenges, Linedata has recognised the need to provide flexible implementation options that do not handcuff the customer”, said Richard Schwartz, Senior Contributing Editor, Global Custodian.
“We conceived Linedata’s fund administration platform with no compromise on either customisability or total cost of ownership. We are delighted that our efforts have been recognised by the fund services industry but we aren’t resting on our laurels,” comments Thierry Soret, Head of Fund Services, Linedata. “We plan further enhancements as we continue to build a modular fund administration platform that truly meets needs for each stage in the value chain from position-keeping, and fund accounting, through NAV and unit price calculation, to reporting for end investors. These will include additions to our business process management tool, Linedata Optima, and technology updates designed to keep our platform robust yet sufficiently agile to enable our clients to onboard new business quickly and efficiently.”
